In China, “micro innovation” was a popular word last year. It reflects the reality that chinese net cititzen cannot accept “c2c(copy to china, especially point to copy american internet procuts,like twitte,facebook)” product. Relatively speaking, chinese net citizen is not mature as american. Though the copied product is fashionable and will improve the efficiency, still lots of net citizen has no idea about how to use it and where to go. May be in 5 year, copied products will be popular, but not for the time being.

Because of that, some “micro innovation” products are popular exceptionally.So some chinese young starups are struggling balancing between “superhot products in the worldwidet” and “local acceptance”.

Whatever they did, though, it’s like having a new car. Between the new plugs, coils and front pads/rotors — but especially their alignment rack — the car just drives great.

I wish I had my summer tires on instead of the Winter run-flats. They’re noiser than the summer tires. But it’s New England after all, and I have no idea when we’ll next get whacked with snow.

When I first got my G2′s, the WiFi app refused to work on all four of them in any hotspot we tried. T-Mobile’s response? It varied from “it must be you” to “what’s WiFi?”

Cell companies are evil — and shipping an app with so much promise that under-delivers is just another proof point of their evil.

The choppiness is mostly with the incoming calls though. I think if T-Mobile can’t fix this feature they should stop marketing it.

Since I’ve written this, I’ve changed phones (from a G2 to a Sensation 4G). The new phone has an updated WiFi dialing app that only rarely produces this error. So, they’re getting better. Maybe it’s a plot to get us all to upgrade three or four times (and extend our contracts for the next decade).

You wouldn’t believe the traffic this post gets from frustrated people looking for an answer. Proof positive that cell companies are evil.

Unfortunately, this didn’t resolve it either. Same error. T-Mobile is clueless.

You aren’t alone about being shocked about the cost of driver’s ed. I drove my a driving school in Norwood yesterday, and I was shocked when the sign said: ‘Only $599.’ Now I know they mean “only” when they said it.

I kid. A good laptop is an amazing all-around tool, and a real keyboard is a must for serious business. Tablets are good for consuming but not so much for creating information. Phones are a poor compromise for both. If I had a nickel for every no-value-added, three-word-long, typo-ridden, dashed-off-with-no-thought-or-research message from the blackberry of somebody too busy to think, I could buy an iPad.

I’ve tried to make it easy for smartphone readers of the blog with a mobile theme that should have made it easier to read this post on that puny little device.

It’s not that the Acela trip was bad — it was that the people who work for Amtrak have such poor attitudes, I worked for a freight railroad once that had a contract to run commuter service around Boston once. We could never get people working on the commuter service to think much about customer service — basic things like saying, “thank you” to passengers when they bought tickets,. There’s a long tradition of sour relations between labor and management on US railroads…and for some reason this persists.

And I was just going to ask Sonal for a recommendation for a laptop.

Now we are at the point in time were speculation is being made public by analysts stating that the automakers will never be able to repay the taxpayers. Where is the public outcry now? Why isn’t there more noise being made and why are elected officials being recalled for taking such a poor action?

I didn’t set out to help you (or anyone else) evaluate RH vs. 3DVIA Composer. I don’t have a dog in that hunt.

I am expressing my opinion — on my blog — about a company that is both derivative and drifting. You don’t have to read it…you don’t have to consider it.

You want Right Hemisphere? Help yourself. No skin off my back. But there’s one thing you should consider: what I say about imitation is a valuable clue about what using their software might be like.

All software is intangible (though I suspect you are trying to make it less so in your evaluation). How often do evaluators get an inside look at the competitive dynamics between alternatives? That’s a more reliable metric than feature checklists, IMHO.

For the record, I am not “bitter and angry.” I just think their blog is terrible. And if they don’t like the feedback, then they don’t belong in the blogosphere.

I am not a decision maker, just a grunt on an evaluation team that is looking at both Right Hemisphere and Seemage. Both have great stories and good products, but biased rants with no substance do not help me and the rest of our team evaluate software. You seem like a somewhat intelligent person, and can’t help but think you could come up with some concrete pros and cons for the public to digest.

My summation of this article….boring, bitter and angry. You must be struggling on those unemployment checks…whoever you are.

It wasn’t so much their recent price problems with their customers that got me…it was that this was a bug QA either could have or should have caught and which they shouldn’t have shipped with.

More than just screwing early adopters on price, Apple has now moved on to screwing them on the actual product content and function as well.

So they are cruising along merrily, they still come out with great products. Like you, I recently stopped into a Cingular store to check out the iPhone and fell in love immediately! As soon as I can convince myself that it can synchronize with outlook effectively, I plan to purchase one. — Perhaps I should wait a few weeks though to see if the price drops another $200 —

I know the guys behind reCAPTCHA and they are a great bunch. It is a very sophisticated system and it does actually work. Annoying, perhaps, but not useless.

It’s the only anti-spam plugin I know that actually does what it says it will. If you want, email me and I’ll put you in touch with them, they can explain it better than I.

Yes, I have a lot of content, but you’re bringing up a couple of different issues. Categorization helps to break the amount into like groups, but too many categories overwhelms as well. It would be nicer if the built-in search on WordPress blogs was improved, that’s for sure. Still, your categories might not really describe what your blog is 1) about, 2) feature search terms, and 3) create a clear expectation of what is in each category.

The other issue comes with presentation of content. You know that “signature” on my blog posts. It’s unwittingly become a brand, but I created it as the WordPress Theme I was using made each post on the multi-post page views, like the front page, categories, and search results, all look like one big long, never-ending page. There was no break between posts nor dates. So I put a graphic in, but that didn’t do the job.

I needed something that said “post over – next post begins”, and what more natural “symbol” of the end of a written letter than a signature. I added it manually, people liked it, and it broke up the long stream of content.

Breaking up content within your posts can easily be done with headings. So there are many ways to format your content without it appearing to be overwhelming to the reader.

And don’t forget, there are two opinions on your blog’s design and structure. You and your readers. The two can be vastly different. Your readers may not mind the things that make you crazy on your blog. An there may be things, like the annoying and useless CAPTCHA below the comment form, that makes your readers absolutely nuts but you are in love with it.

Go with what your spirit says and let the rest happen, but learn how to do better if you want, by learning from the best.

And thanks for being smart enough not to steal from me. That makes you triple smart.

Blogging is more than a sub-culture, especially for those of us with solid roots in technology. It appears that blogging is taking off with the editors of most publications, VCs and those of us willing to engage in free form communication.

I thank you for introducing me to the idea of a blog and its value to a new and growing business and hope that many more realize the value of the same.

I’m not sure what the Hell that means, but it’s the best food for thought I’ve had in quite some time.
